When the temperature sensor 50 detects the ambient temperature of the corona electric discharge apparatus 10, the sensor changes it to an electric signal, and sends it out to the impedance control unit 70. The impedance unit 70 compares it with the built-in reference signal, varies the impedance value of the impedance variable element 60, and as soon as the current I is controlled as to its quantity of flow in accordance with said impedance, the power supply control unit 80 controls the output of the power supply circuit 20. According to said constitution, it is possible to make the corona generating amount the same and obtain the best copying state, irrespective of variation of a temperature.
