Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the life of a transfer type sensitive plate by using a powdered photoconductor dyed with a sensitizing dye in the presence of an org. titanate compound.
CONSTITUTION: A sensitizing dye such as Rose Bengale and an org. titanate are dissolved in a dehydrating solvent and allowed to be adsorbed on zinc oxide. The dye adsorbed zinc oxide is then dispersed in a binder and applied to aluminum. The titanate used is represented by the formulae (where R is isopropyl and each of R1W5 is functional group selected from n- or i-stearoyl, octanoyl, oleyl, methacryl, acryl, benzoyl, cinnamoyl, cumylphenyl, dodecylbenzenesulfonyl, diisooctyl phosphate, 4-aminobenzenesulfonyl, dioctyl pyrophosphate, N,N-dimethylaminoethyl, N-ethylaminoethylamino, anthranyl, octylbutyl pyrophosphate, cumyl phenolate and butylmethyl pyrophosphate).
