Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high-molecualr temperature-sensing material which has low polarizability and hygroscopicity and exhibits high temperature-sensing power, by a method wherein a metal salt of phosphoric acid is blended with a polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W10pts.wt. of a metal salt of phosphoric acid (e.g. copper phosphate, cobalt phosphate or calcium tertiary phosphate) is mixed with 100pts.wt. of a powder of a polyamide (e.g. nylon 12). The mixt. is dried extruded into a gut shape by an extruder, and then pelleted by means of a cutter. The pellets are dried and fed to an extruder for wire-production to produce a temperature- sensing material which is used for a linear temperature sensor.
