Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent embossing effect by employing a carrier paper with an embossing form or a beltlike embossing sheet as an embossing material equivalent to an engraving roll or an engraving plate in an after embossing method.
CONSTITUTION: A belt 2 is stretched by guiding rolls 8 so that it moves in face contact with a rotary heat cylinder 1 along almost the whole peripheral surface thereof, while the surface of the synthetic leather 4 and the surface with the embossing form of the carrier paper 3 with the embossing form, both of which are rolled out for feeding, are laid on each other and are introduced in between the peripheral surface 7 of the heat cylinder and the belt 2 in such a manner that the synthetic leather 4 touches the peripheral surface 7 of the cylinder. On the occasion, the tensile strength of the belt 2 is adjusted by a roll with a device for adjusting the tensile force of the belt 2, for which at least one of the several guiding rolls for the belt is employed, and the synthetic leather 4 and the paper 2 laid on each other are moved through under the adjusted surface pressure between the peripheral surface 7 of the heat cylinder and the belt 2, are cooled by a cooling roll 5 and then are separated from each other.
