CONSTITUTION: A saw tooth waveform generating circuit 2 generates the saw tooth waveform of a period T having fixed inclination E0/τ, and Vp=E0/τ.T holds (Vp; peak voltage). It is easy to calculate an average value VOUT, that is, the output voltage of an average value circuit 3. Namely, it becomes VOUT=1/2×T×Vp/T=Vp/2. Since Vp=E0/τ×T, there is obtained VOUT=E0/2τ×T0. In this formula, E0 and τ are constants and therefore, VOUT, that is, the voltage obtainable at an output terminal 4 is proportional to the period T of the input signal.
