Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively perform painting without loss of paint by keeping the amount of discharge of paint at a discharge nozzle constant by using a system in which air-containing powder is fed at high speeds in a main pipe and gradually reduced its flow rate as the powder comes near the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: The inside sectional area of a distribution pipe 2 is made larger than that of the main pipe 1, and also the area of the fully opened hole of the nozzle 4 is made larger than the inside sectional area of the pipe 2. The powder goes foward in the main pipe 1 in the direction of arrow mark at a low density and high speed in a disturbed state by a drafting nozzle, flows dividedly to four distribution pipes bent at 90°, and then expanded to reduce its flow rate. The powder coming into a circular pipe 3 in an uniform state after being stirred inside the distribution pipe 2 is uniformly injected from the nozzle 4 of the frontal wall 17 of the circular pipe. Thus, a refractory powder is evenly melted and coated without loss even if the power is directly injected against a furnace wall.
