Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable transfer material to be surely curled by disposing a pair of rollers which revolve by having a peripheral speed difference on the way of a transfer material conveying passage.
CONSTITUTION: While the upper roller 8 of a curling device 3 is revolving at a peripheral speed V1 in the advancing direction of transfer paper 4, the lower roller 9 is revolved at a peripheral speed V0 in the opposite direction or is stopped at V0=0 or is revolved at a peripheral speed V2 in the same direction at that of the upper roller 8 (where V1>V2). Since in this way the rollers having a relative speed difference are held pressed to the top and under side of the transfer paper 4, a curl in the arrow direction such as the one shown in the figure is given to the transfer paper 4. In this way, the transfer material may be surely curled irrespective of its kinds and the separation from an image carrying body may be made sure.
