Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an suppression to the useless transition state and thus realize a highly efficient reduction of the power consumption for the data processor consisting of the complementary FET, by giving a control to the clock signal.
CONSTITUTION: The control part produces the control signal by the programmed instruction to give a discontinuation to the oscillating circuit within the clock signal generating part 3. Thus the useless transition state can be discontinued for the circuit including the complementary FET. At the same time, the supply of the clock signal is stopped to the circuit which has no operation, and furthermore an inspection is given to the unit input to give control to secure the resupply of the clock signal. As a result, a highly efficient reduction is possible for the power consumption.
