Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform NC working of a pair of dies accurately, simply and easily by making the NC data for working the work of a convex die from a convex die model and making the NC data for making the corresponding concave die work from these data. CONSTITUTION:In a TC/NC combined machine tool 1 provided with copying function and NC function, convex die model copying 2 is done. During operation, the movement extents 3 and stylus displacements 4 of respective axes X, Y, Z are inputted automatically to a data processing part 6, where they are processed by being added with data 5 having beforehand been inputted, such as the diameter and accuracy of the stylus used, mode, etc., whereby the NC data 7 for working the convex die work corresponding to the copied model are made in an external memory device such as magnetic tape. The thus made data 7 are again processed in the data processing part 6, and the NC data 8 for working the corresponding concave work are made in another external memory device. The thus made NC data 7, 8 are inputted to a control part 10, then the TC/NC machine tool 1 executes convex die NC working 11 and concave die work NC working 12 respectively.
