Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the driving posture of the driver by making the front edge of the driver's seat cushion vertically movable. CONSTITUTION:A thigh support frame 12 is provided within a thigh support 11 of the front edge of the seat. A bracket 13 is formed within the thigh support frame, and a pole lever 14 is pivoted by a pin 15. A pole lever 14 is formed with a pole section 17 and a projection 18. The pole section 17 is urged by a spring 23 so that it engages a latch member 21, which is urged in the clockwise direction with respect to a pin 19. Thus, the pole member is restrained for its downward movement with respect to the latch member, while it an be freely released for the upward movement, so that the front edge of the thigh can be vertically moved by merely directly moving the thigh support.
