Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate undesirable effect to a semiconductor element due to a radia- tion ray by a simple structure by a method wherein the structure is made so as to the radiation shilding is fixed to the inside surface of a covering material which air tight sealed container to accommodate a semiconductor element by an airtight seald glass. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor element 16 is accommodated in the concave portion of a substrate 15 which constitutes the container, and is connected to the outside connecting leads 18 through lead wires (not shown in fig.). The concave portion 22 is formed on a covering material 20 which seals the container hermetically, a low radiation material radiation shielding body such as a metal, silicon, high purity resin or other is fitted in the concave portion 22, the sealing glass 23, 23' are coated on the sealed face other than the concave portion 22 of the covering material 21 and the end portion of the low radiation material 21, and sealed with the substrate 15.
