Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a simple arrangement capable of supplementing lack in the secondary output voltage of an ignition coil during the high-speed operation of engine, by impressing a required conduction angle further to a conduction angle in a stepwise manner when the engine speed has become higher than the predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:The second angle sensor 20 is provided for detecting the third angular position theta3 advanced more than the second angular position theta2. Further, the second arithmetic circuit 21 is provided for receiving the output signal of the second angle sensor 20, starting its operation according to the angular signal of the third angular position theta3, and calculating the fifth angular position theta5 delayed a predetermined angle to the third angular position theta3 on the basis of parameters of engine. Since, with such an arrangement, the timing for starting conduction of the ignition coil can be shifted to the angular position theta5 by impressing the required conduction angle further to a conduction angle stepwise during the high-speed operation of engine, it is enabled to supplement lack in the secondary output voltage of the ignition coil during the above high-speed operation of engine.
