PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of skid marks of steel materials without producing any noise and scale on the steel material surfaces by making the combustion chamber load of jet heating burners, the sectional load of the combustion chamber outlet, the distance between the burners and steel materials, etc. to the specific values in the continuous heating surface of steel materials. CONSTITUTION:In the case of heating steel materials 10 in the continuous heating furnace, jet heating burners are used as burners to locally heat the skid mark portions of the steel materials. The burner comprises rapidly burning fuel gas 4 by air 3 in a primary combustion chamber 1 and blowing the combustion gas jet 8 of high temperatures and high speeds to the skid mark portions of the steel materials 10.
