Abstract

PURPOSE:To heat the lower part of the passenger room of a vehicle such as an automobile and cool the upper part in air conditioning of the vehicle, by blowing off the external air from the ceiling of the room in its heating. CONSTITUTION:A duct 1 for introducing a running wind is provided along an A- pillar so that the duct extends from an air intake 2 in front of an engine room to a roof duct 5 provided between a roof panel 3 and a head lining cloth 4. The cloth has blowoff ports 6 which communicate with the roof duct 5 and are distributed along the whole roof. A wind flow control gate 10 is installed inside the air intake 2 so that the degree of opening of the gate can be regulated by an operating knob 8. In heating a passenger room, a flow rate of the external air adjusted by the control gate 10 is introduced through the air intake 2 and blown down into the passenger room through the blow-off ports 6 to appropriately cool the upper part of the passenger room and keep its lower part heated. Appropriate upper cooling and lower heating is thus effected.
