Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure safety in the operation of the combustion controlling apparatus comprising a heating conductor, a combustion fan, and ignitor, etc., by employing an arrangement in which the apparatus is kept inoperative condition if the output of a timer circuit for detecting extinguishment of flame is raised again to an ignition detecting level after the output of the timer circuit has become a low level due to going out of flame during combustion.

CONSTITUTION: A flame detecting and controlling circuit 5 in the combustion controlling opparatus is constituted by a flame detecting circuit 40, a timer circuit 41 for detecting extinguishment of flame and a relay driving circuit 42. The circuit 5 functions to raise the output of a comparator 55 to H-level, to energize a switching transistor Tr 58 and to energize a transistor Tr70 via a comparator 67 when normal state of combustion is detected by a frame rod 11 during the timer period determined by a capacitor 65. Resultantly, contact of the relay 12 is closed and combustion is continued in this state. On the other hand, if flame is extinguished during combustion, said contact of the relay 12 is opened and operation of the combusting apparatus is not recommenced since the output of the comparator 67 is kept at its low level if the output of the frame rod 11 is raised again to a predetermined level.
