Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure that manuscripts on a sheet supply mount are supplied through a feed roller by providing an auxiliary roller interlocked with the feed roller to drop to the sheet supply mount in an automatic manuscript feed device of copying machine or the like.
CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary roller 29 is rotated through an electromagnetic clutch 25 as a feed roller 18 is rotated. As the feed roller 18 is rotated, a holder 30 holding the roller 29 tends to rotated in the same direction to drop on the surface of the sheet supply mount 5 against the force of a spring 33. Thus, even when manuscripts on the sheet supply mount 5 do not engage the feed roller 18, they are forcibly fed by the auxiliary roller 29 to ensure that even the last manuscript can be fed.
