Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the manipulation and to achieve saving-energy, by detecting the on-off of television receiver to turn on and off the power supply of adaptor connected to the receiver. CONSTITUTION:When the power supply of television receiver 5 is turned on, the power supply current flows through the receptacle 3 and the power plug 4 from the power supply plug 2. This current is detected at the current detection coil 11, and the current detected is converted into direct current at the DC circuit 13 via the current voltage conversion circuit 12 and compared with the voltage set at the comparison circuit 14 with the comparison set unit 22. Since the output of the comparison circuit 14 is at ''H'', the relay 17 is operated and the contact of the switch 19 is changed over to the A side, and the main power supply 21 of the adaptor 1 is on. When the power supply of receiver is off, the output of the comparison circuit 14 is at ''L'' and the main power supply 21 of the adaptor 1 is off.
