Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the vibration insulating effect of an engine, by both coupling the lower part of a crankcase to the case through a cushion material and securing the ?lower part of the crankcase to the bottom end of a turning bracket pivotally mounted to a power take-off shaft. CONSTITUTION:Between both joint surfaces of the bottom side of a crankcase formed into a two-divisional construction in an engine main unit 1 and the top side of an oil pan 7, a cushion material 6 made of rubber is horizontally interposed. A position for said cushion material 6 to be arranged is determined in such a manner that the resultant force of elastic reaction deriving from the buffer action of the cushion material 6 agrees almost with the center line of reciprocating motion of a piston. While around left and right cylindrical bearings 4 for supporting a power take-off shaft 3, a pair of turning brackets 5 turn movably pivotally mounted at their top end and secured to the above described oil pan 7 respectively at their bottom end by a bolt. In this way, not only the vibromotive force deriving from a reciprocating motion inertial mass but also the change of torque when the engine is in operation can be removed.
