Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition giving excellent long-term storage stability and cure-accelerating action to a curing agent in a two-pack system, by mixing a specific noncyclic tertiary amine with a liquid acid anhydride, etc. and a hydroxy compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A noncyclic tertiary amine expressed by the formula (R is methyl or ethyl; R' is alkyl) (e.g. dimethylalkylamine such as dimethyllaurylamine, etc.) is mixed with (B) a liquid acid anhydride (e.g. 3-methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride) or a liquid fatty acid (e.g. caproic acid) and (C) a hydroxy compound (e.g. benzyl alcohol) to give the desired composition. Preferably (A) and (B) are mixed to attain an apparent pH value of 5.2W5.4 and the curing accelerator composition is mixed to attain an apparent pH value of 4.4W5.8. The preferable amount of (C) is 0.3W3g equivalent on the basis of the sum of (A) and (B).
