Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the reading of a quantity of consumption for an optional period, by changing the rotation of a runner into pulse signals and integrating the pulse signals through both a total calculation circuit and a calculation circuit which is capable of being reset.
CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet 8 is mounted on the shaft 7 of a runner 1 which is rotated in proportion to the quantity of used water. The rotation of the permanent magnet 8 is detected by a magnetic sensor 8 and changed into pulse signals by a drive detection circuit 10. The pulse signals are converted into the quantity of water and integrated by calculation circuits 11, 12. The values integrated by the circuits 11, 12 are displayed on an indicator 16 by dispaly drive circuit 13, 14. When the contents of one calculation circuit 12 reset by an external clearing circuit 15 at every prescribed period, the integrated value is displayed on the upper section of the indicator and the quantity of water consumed for the period is displayed on the lower section of the indicator. Therefore, the quantity of consumption for an optional period can be immediately read.
