CONSTITUTION:Coding bit number detecting circuit 3 detects the coding bit number with every line and then stores it in control circuit 5. Receiving secondary scanning start signal 6, circuit 5 sends decoding start signal 7 to decoding circuit 8 for the coded signals of one line stored in memory 2 to record the picture signals. At the same time, circuit 5 transmits coding bit number detecting signal 4 to secondary scanning control circuit 11. the secondary scanning velocity is set previously at circuit 11 in accordance with the coding bit number of one line, and then secondary scanning velocity control signal 12 corresponding to the bit number of line 1 is transmitted to secondary scanning driving circuit 13. This signal is sent continuously until the transmission equivalent to one line completes.
