CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 1 are taken out from many reels 2 respectively and are caused to pass through fan-shaped arranging jig 3 having optical fiber guide pin 4 to form a band-shaped optical fiber, and these optical fibers are caused to adhere to one another or are melt-fixed. Many reels 6 around which tape-shaped fibers obtained in this manner are wound are prepared, and tape-shaped optical fibers are taken out from respective reels and are collected in one place and are laminated and are caused to adhere to one another or are melt-fixed thereby obtaining the image fiber of an optional length. Tape-shaped fibers are subjected to this adhesion or melt-fixing in optional positions or throughout the length of them as required, for example, in case of flexibility required.
