Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable even destaticization by eliminating the thermal influence of a light source for destaticization upon a photoreceptor. by guiding light emitted by the light source to the surface of the photoreceptor via many optical fiber tubes. CONSTITUTION:Over photoreceptor drum 9, light source 10 for destaticization is provided separately from drum 9. As light source 10, a spherical incandescent lamp is used. Light emitted from this light source 10 is led to photoreceptor drum 9 via many optical fiber tubes 11. Each optical fiber tube 11 is made of a flexible material such as plastic fiber. Using the plastic fiber cuts off light in the infrared wavelingth range of the light emitted from light source 10 and drum 9, even if irradiated with the light, is never heated up. This constitution performs even destaticization without exerting the evil influence of the heat of the light source upon the photoreceptor.
