Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to make a copy with priority by making it possible to copy any kind of materials or to copy in any magnification and providing an interrupt means which resumes and ends interrupted copying upon ending of priority copying. CONSTITUTION:The copying apparatus is provided with paper size selection keys, self-illuminated pilot lamps, a ten key block 21, a set sheet number display device 26, a copying sheet number display device 27, and a lamp 25. The lamp 25 is so arranged as to light when paper is contained in none of paper housing compartments for paper size buttons 20. A interrupt button 23 is so arranged as to enable inputting irrespective of under standby or copying. When this button is pushed during copying, the copying is stopped by interrupt mode, and immediately after the stoppage, the contents of 26, 27 and the size of 20 are retreated into a memory and ''1'' is displayed in 26 and ''0'' in 27, so that the operator who has interrupted can set a new nimber of sheets in 26 with the keys of 21 and make priority copying.
