Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit the video signal with high resolution on the transmission line with narrow band, by transmitting the video signal formed with n-times line scanning speed after expanding the time axis n times. CONSTITUTION:The line scanning speed of three primary color pickup systems 11, 12, 13 is twice as large as the conventional speed, and the field frequency in conventional pickup systems corresponds to the frame frequency, and the frame frequency is twice as large as the conventional frequency. Thus, the frequency band of the pickup output video signal is twice as large, and the band width of the preamplifiers 14, 15, 16 is twice as large. The input video signal fed to the scanning converters 18, 19, 20 is the three primary color signal having 60Hz of frame frequency and 525 of scanning lines, and as to the 1st frame of the input video signal, only the video signal of the odd number line of signal waveform is picked up as the output video signal by expanding the time axis of the video signal twice, and as to the 2nd frame of the input video signal, only the even number line of signal waveform can be picked up similarly.
