Abstract
PURPOSE: To gain swollen letters and graduation with metallic brightness by laminating a part of cover glass with a metallic layer.
CONSTITUTION: The upper surface of the cover glass 1 is provided with metallic film 7 formed by vacuum evaporation and the like. Next on the upper surface of the metallic film 7 nonconductive resist film 8 is formed. Secondly by sending an electric current to an end of the metallic film 7, a swollen metallic layer 9 is laminated on the metallic film 7 by electric plating on the part wherein no nonconductive resist film 8 is formed. Thereafter the resist film 8 is removed, further the metallic film 7 is etched to make the cover glass 1 in the state usable for a clock.
