Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure accurate noise detection with a simple circuit configuration by feeding back a noise level detected with the use of an up down counter and making it binary at a radar device, etc. CONSTITUTION:A signal overlapped with a noise is obtained into a reflective signal from a target on a receiver 6 and is supplied to a comparator through the intermediary of A/D converter 9. Then it is compared with a detection level of an up down counter 14 in terms of amplitude and is supplied to AND circuit 12 as a binary signal. In the meantime, a sample gate pulse and a count pulse are generated 10 based on a transmission signal from a synchronizer 8 and a trigger signal relative to a prearranged time, and are supplied to a circuit 12, FF13 and a counter 14. Following this process, the counter 14 is controlled according to an output from FF13 and the amplitude of a detection level is incumbent on a probability generated by an up and down count. Under this constitution, it is possible to make a detection level an optional multiple against the average value of a noise by changing the width of a sample gate pulse.
