Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the high temperature of a piping part from influencing a coaxial cable and to improve the operability of fitting, by running a lead wire in a hollow pipe fixed in a frame holding an ultrasonic transducer. CONSTITUTION:Frame body 12 holding upper detector 11 and frame body 14 holding lower detector 13 are coupled like a hinge rotatably on hinge pin 15 at the one- end side, and while piping 1 through which fluid 2 to be measured flows is sandwiched in between frame bodies 12 and 14, they are fixed by tightening metal fitting 15' at the other-end side. Then, lead wire 28 from ultrasonic transducers 11 and 13 while running through hollow pipes 18 and 19 fixed to pipe fitting seats 16 and 17 of frame body 12 in the axis direction. Next, an ultrasonic wave is emitted from detector 11 to the fluid to be measured and an ultrasonic wave reflected by the internal wall surface of the piping is received by detector 13. Thus, the detectors can be attached and detached rapidly and even if the fluid is at a high temperature, the connection terminal parts can be held at the normal temperature.
