Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify and miniaturize a printer by making a single solenoid mechanism engage with both the printing mechanism and the printing paper feed mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: The armature 14b of a plunger 14 for the paper feed is constituted so as to engage with both the printing paper feed mechanism spring clutch 15 and the printing mechanism. In other words, when the power switch is turned on to energize the coil 14a of the plunger 14, the pawl 14c of the armature 14b is released from the engagement with the pawl 15b of the ratchet 15a of the spring clutch 15, and the ratchet 15a rotates a prescribed angle, causing rubber rollers 15e and 15f to feed paper 4. In addition, while paper is being fed, the pawl 14d of the armature 14b pushes one end 16b of a positioning lever 16 to rotate, so that a holder 12 holding an intermediate hammer group 9 is shifted in the direction of an arrow A to bring the printer into the printing start state.
