Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the measuring accuracy and durability and effect the reduction in size by an arrangement wherein electric current is supplied to a heat resistor provided in an air flow path and temperature of said heat resistor is detected by a thermocoupled.
CONSTITUTION: Constant current is supplied to a heat resistor 1 provided in a sucked air flow path of an evaporator from a constant-current circuit 13. Electromotive forces of a temperature measuring thermocouple 2 in contact with the heat resistor 1 and a temperature compensating thermocouple 3 disposed side by side are applied to an arithmetic processing amplification circuit 14 so as to produce a signal corresponding to the air flow rate from its output terminal VO. By applying a thin insulated film 11 around the heat resistor 1 at the portion being in contact with the thermocouple 2, it becomes possible to improve the temperature measuring accuracy and durability and also make size of the whole device compact with the simplified circuit arrangement.
