Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent chips of polymer from fusing in the form of a lump in a preleminary crystallization apparatus which is provided with a charging hole at the upper part, a discharging hole at the lower part and stirring blades in the inner part by a method wherein the stirring blades at the upper part are fitted closely. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus for the preliminary crystallization process as a preparatory process for drying or solid phase polymerization of chips of thermoplastic polymer like polyester and the like, there are provided a charging hole 2 at the upper part of a vessel 1, a discharging hole 3 at the lower part thereof and a stirring device in the middle part where stirring blades 6 are fitted at the upper place more closely than at other places. It is preferable that the vessel 1 is provided with baffle plates 7 suitable to the stirring blades 6.
