Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled ink whose curing rate is rapid and which has excellent resistance against emulsification by dampening water, does not swell blankets, etc. and is suitable for litho printing in which the washing of printing presses is easy, containing a specified addition-polymerizable compd. a solid resin and a petroleum solvent as the main components.
CONSTITUTION: 40W75pts.wt. addition-polymerizable compd. (A) of the formula [wherein R1 is H, CH3; R2 is 3W15C hydrocarbon group (which may be substituted with 1W3 OH groups and in which O is interposed between C-C linkage); R3 is 5W 32C alkyl, m is 0.8W55, n is 0.5W5.2 with the proviso that m+n=2W6], 20W 50pts.wt. solid resin (B) soluble in a petroleum solvent (e.g. petroleum resin or a cyclic ketone resin having a softening point of 40W200°C), 2W20pts.wt. photopolymerization initiator (C) and a petroleum solvent (D) having a b.p. of 240W350°C (e.g. paraffin fraction) are mixed together to obtain the desired ultraviolet-curing printing ink.
EFFECT: There can be obtd. printed matter having excellent gloss, transparency and film physical properties.
