Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure temperature accurately by arranging convergence-type fibers and a transmitting luminous energy adjusting body wherein transmitting luminous energy is changed according to temperature in the middle of optical fibers connecting a light source with a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:When a temperature sensor 25 is bent upward by the change in temperature, an operation plate 27 is pushed upward and thereby a gear 28 rotates clockwise. With the rotation of this gear 28, a polarizing plate 24 rotates counterclockwise. Accordingly, the transmitting luminous energy of the polarizing plate 24 is changed and thus the luminous energy given and received between the convergence-type fibers 21 and 23 is changed. This change in the luminous energy is detected by the photoreceptor 15, whereby the change in temperature is measured. In addition, the capacity of transmission of the light is not reduced nearly at all since the convergence-type fibers 21 and 23 are provided in the opposed end parts of the optical fibers 11 and 14. Therefore, the precision of measurment is kept at a high level.
