The gains A, B are respectively determined with control data k, j of ROM8, and the relation of A, B to the output (h) of the error amplifier 6 can be set to an optimum value by reading the memory content of the device 8 for the control data (i) as the address, allowing to optimize the circuit easily. Further, even to the transmission system where the optimum values of A, B to (h) are different, by enabling to read out the optimum values of different A, B through the change in the address signal (l), the optimum constant of equalizer can be obtained to the transmission system different from the signal speed and transmission code.
