Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten a detection level of detection signal and eliminate noise trouble by providing a pair of light guides in such manner as to form a light conductive channel with an end opposed to a thermally deforming metal plate. CONSTITUTION:A form memorizing metal 1 of high-temperature transforming alloy which is capable of memorizing a form when heated, is processed into a deformed ''wedge''-shaped form in a thickness direction at a temperature higher than deformation temperature as illustrated. The alloy 1 processed in this way is plastically processed into a plate form at a temperature lower than a deformation temperature through cooling. Then on the surface of the alloy 1, two pieces of light guide 2 are fixed with adhesive, etc. with the ends opposed to each other in such manner as to constitute a light conductive channel. A luminous source 3 is provided on the one end of the light guide 2 and a light-receiving element 4 on the other end. A light from the luminous source 3 is incident into the light-receiving element 4. If an ambient temperature reached the deformation temperature of the alloy 1, the alloy 1 is reshaped into ''wedge''-shaped form, so that no light is incident into the light- receiving element 4 and this fact reveals a temperature on the alloy 1.
