Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the treatment at high capability by the minimum facility by a method wherein an initial adsorption utilizing system is utilized, the 70W95% of the BOD of sewage to be treated is rapidly removed, and residual BOD is removed with SS by means of a sludge filter bed.
CONSTITUTION: When the sewage is flowed into an aeration tank 9 from an inflow pipe 16, the sewage rises in a cylinder 21 with the sewage not treated flowing from a sludge communicating pipe 10, and is aerated by air from a blower 11. The sewage aerated flows out quickly from a mixed liquid inflow pipe 13, is inverted and rises by means of a reflecting plate 4, and is circulated to a sludge accumulating tank 5 from a circulation tank 6. The treating water flowing out to the accumulating tank 5 upward flows in from a lower end of a filter sludge tank 2, its velocity of flow slows because a filter sludge bed portion expands upward, sludge deposits in a stratiform shape at a fixed location, and only treated water further proceeds upward, and is changed into a supernatant liquid and flows out from a discharging groove 18.
