Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease pressure losses of fluid while maintaining high separation efficiency by providing a guide vane of which the lower part is extended to lower than the bottom surface of an inlet duct on the extension line of the side wall on the cyclone center side of the inlet duct.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet guide vane 10 is so mounted and set that its lower end part 10a is formed by being extended to lower than the bottom face of an inlet duct 6. For example, a cyclone separator in which the inside diameter R of an outer cylinder 1 is made 150mm, the height H 225mm, and the height (h) of the inlet duct 6 is made 165mm is used, and a guide vane 10 of different height L is mounted on the extension line of the side wall on the cyclone central side of the inlet duct 6, and the shape of the inlet guide vane 10 is so set that L/h comes within 1.3W1.4 whereby the high separation efficiency is secured while the pressure losses are kept minimum.
