Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a 40kg class high-tensile cold-rolled steel sheet for use of automobile outside plating having high tensile strength and good yield point and yield ratio by rendering super low carbon steel plate a single phase ferrite structure.
CONSTITUTION: Steel ingot for use contains C<0.01%, Si: 0.10W1.0%, Mn: 1.5W 3.0%, Al: 0.001W0.08%, and N<0.05%. Such steel ingot is heated to 1250°C, then is rolled for finish at 900°C to provide hot-rolled steel plate with 3.2mm thickness. The plate is wound in coil at 600°C, cold-rolled to 75% reduction, then annealed at 720°C for 4hrs to provide automobile outside plating having single phase ferrite structure. The produced steel sheet has tensile strength of 35kg/mm2 or more, yield point of 15kg/mm2 or more, and a small yield ratio, providing a good press workability.
