CONSTITUTION: Plural recording tracks 121W128 parallel to one another at an equal interval are set on sheet memory 11, and further, position detection marks 15 and 16 are provided in the left edge correspondingly to positions P1 and Pf of first track 121 and last track 128 respectively. Marks 15 and 16 are scanned on line A by light beam 14 of position scanner 13, and positions P1 and Pf of marks 15 and 16 are detected by position detection unit 17. This unit 17 is provided with CPU20, program ROM18, RAM19 and subtractor 21, and the distance between positions P1 and Pf is measured accurately by marks 15 and 16, and the interval of tracks 121W128 is obtained by operation on a basis of the measured distance above, and positions of arbitrary tracks 121W128 are determined accurately on a basis of the operation result.
