Abstract

PURPOSE: To make good and sure trace possible under an inside focus zero state without tracing distortion with a simple constitution by supporting a cartridge to an arm, which is moved linearly in the radius direction of a record disc, slidably in a prescribed direction.
CONSTITUTION: Movable stand 50 is moved linearly through driving motor 5, ropes 10a and 10b, etc., to move arm 1, which is provided on stand 50, and cartridge 2, which is supported slidably at some angle by axis A of arm 1 parallel to the tangent of the record groove, linearly in one body, thus performing trace dependent upon record needle 2a. Slide angle θ of cartridge 2 is detected by angle detection part 3 to control starting of motor 5. Consequently, since the catridge is moved similarly to the cutter head for the acoustic groove with a simple constitution, tracing distortion does not exist, and the inside focus becomes zero in all positions of the record disc, and further, inclination of the needle is detected directly, so that sure trace and control can be performed.
