PURPOSE:To establish simple and highly sensitive infrared ray detector, by using a plurality of small aperture photo detection lens, beam splitter and wave length converter. CONSTITUTION:This infrared ray detector has the construction arranging a plurality of photo detection lenses 1, beam splitters 9, non-linear optical crystals 2, polarizers 4, interference filters 5, and light collecting lenses 6, and the visual light in wave length conversion with each non-linear type optical crystal is collected on the photo electric plane of the photo electron multiplier 7 with the second light collection lens 10. Thus, sufficient amount of infrared rays can be received and highly sensitive unit can be established by detecting the visual light in wave length conversion efficiently with each wave length converter.
