Abstract

PURPOSE: To develop the title copper alloy for electric and electronic parts and a heat exchanger by adding a little Fe and P to Cu followed by specified heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A copper alloy ingot contg. Fe 0.25W0.50wt% and P 0.10W 0.20wt% is hot worked and cooled from 700°C or above to 450°C at a cooling rate of 25°/min followed by successive cooling from 450°C to ordinary temp., cold working and finish annealing at 350W600°C for 5W180min. Thus, an alloy for electric parts with superior strength, electric conductivity and softening resistance is manufactured.
