Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten vulcanization time, by forming one portion of a material passage of a metal mold in a thin shape, and by mounting a heating means to said thin shape portion.
CONSTITUTION: Plastic compound preheated is projected into a metal mold 10 from a projection nozzle 1. Compound projected into the metal mold 10 is injected to cavities 19 through a spool 15, a runner 17 and gates 18. In this case, the temperature of an outer surface of a torpedo 13, in which a heater 16 is buried, becomes to temperature, which can be increased, in cooperation with the frictional heat of compound up to temperature near approximate vulcanization temperature at a point of time when compound reaches the cavities 19. Thus, the temperature of the compound projected from the projection nozzle 1 rises up to temperature near appro imate vulcanization temperature because frictional heat is generated during the time when the compound passes through the spool 15 since the portion is thin and cylindrical and heat is smoothly transmitted from the torpedo 13.
