Abstract

PURPOSE:When an extruded parison is blow molded, to obtain a desired quantity of heat with small electric power by insulating an evaporated conductive film layer mold for a non-conductive corrugated part at the head from other parts and applying current to heat it. CONSTITUTION:A metal mold part 4 facing the corrugated part at least of the blow moldings is produced by a non-conductive material having sufficient mechanical strength as mold materials such as ceramic, etc. The surface 6 of the metal mold part 4 is covered with a plated or vacuum evaporated conductive film 5 and this conductive film 5 is connected with the power source for heating and current is applied to heat the conductive film as it is electrically insulated from the metal mold body 1. Thus, the parison part with molded corrugations is heated and softened. The conductive film 5 is so thin that sufficient heat value can be obtained with small electric power.
