Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the position adjusting mechanism of stable optical fiber end by providing a V-form face to an optical fiber supporting member and supporting the supporting member by means of a pair of movable members provided with the slopes corresponding to this V-form face. CONSTITUTION:The V-form part 51 of the supporting member 5 of an optical fiber 1 is placed in the V-form spacing part formed by the slopes 41 which are placed on a base and oppose to each other. The ends of adjust screws 3 are contacted to the slopes 42 of the moving members 4 and the top face 52 of the supporting member 5 so as to be force-contacted to the respective faces. The adjust screw 3 are supported by being scrwed to part of the base structure. Such constitution enables the supporting member 5 to be position adjusted laterally, vertically and diagonally upward and downward depending upon the ways of operating the adjust screws 3. Since the contact of the respective members is face contact, the stable position adjustment of the optical fiber end may be accomplished.
