Abstract

PURPOSE: To abviate damaging the originals and reduce the time up to exposure start by so constituting a coiled belt that it lays the original in contact with platen and that the belt floats from the platen and makes reciprocating movement during discharging of the original.
CONSTITUTION: Laying of an original 60 is accomplished as a moving frame is moved over a platen 1 by the revolutions of sprockets 17a, 17b. Exposure at the speed equal to the laying speed is started by the signal from a copying control part. Upon completion of the exposure, the sprockets 17a, 17b start driving to let a laying member 4 starts backward stroke. In this backward stroke, the original laying member 4 becomes afloat from the platen faces a compared to the forward stroke and returns to the position immediate before starting of the original laying, where it stops. Such constitution eliminates the need for intricate forward and backward mechanisms, obviates damaging the origonals and enables the original conveyor which reduces the time up to exposure start to be obtained.
