Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain permeable material having high drainage efficiency at a low cost by filling tubular net composed of a synthetic fiber with fiber globes having 5W40mmϕ made of a syntheticfiber, the globes being joined together by means of an adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary drum 4 having needle projections 5 on the periphery is supported on a shaft within a fixed drum 6. Synthetic fiber or coconut fiber of above 10 denier is introduced through a lid 7 into the rotary drum 4 to obtain a number of bulky fiber globes having 5W40mmϕ. Contaminants are discharged through many small holes 9. A discharge tube 13 of a blower 11 is inserted into a tubular receiving net 1 composed of a synthetic fiber. Said globes are supplied from a suction port 12, and an adhesive is supplied from a supply port 14 to the net. While moving the blower 11, the net is filled with the globes and the adhesive to obtain long and thin columnar permeable materials. The permeable materials are cut in desired length, and laid between block stacks or stone stacks to use as a substitute for conventional iron or vinyl drian pipe. The premeable materials can be produced in a simple manner at a low cost and improve the permeability.
