Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an element with a metallic layer of injection molding die or blow molding die arranged in thin wall and also interposed with adiabatic material, thereby controlling cooling rate and thus preventing a hardened layer from arising on moldings. CONSTITUTION:A matrix having the same shape as desired moldings is made by machining brass and plated with nickel by means of a nickel plating bath with nickel sulfate as the principal constituent. Next, dipped in an aqueous solution of 0.1% chromic acid, the matrix is subjected to a mold releasing treatment through forming an oxidized film thereon. Then, metallic layers 12, 12' with thin walls 0.2mm thick are formed through electrocasting by means of nickel sulfamate bath. Adiabatic material layers 13, 13' for which epoxy resin, hardener, silica powder, glass fiber, etc. are combined are formed and hardened on those metallic layers to the thickness of 1mm, and then packing layers 14, 14' are formed to obtain elements 1, 1'.
