Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable solar light to be absorbed over wide angles of inclination even while the device is held fixed by providing the reflecting surface and heat absorbing surface consisting of oblique parabolas and arcs.
CONSTITUTION: The reflecting surfaces CAB on the left side of a reflecting body 1 made of nickel, aluminum or glass of high reflectances and the reflecting surfaces C'A'B' on the right side are all finished to a mirror surface. The heat absorbing plate is made of good heat conductor such as nickel, aluminum or copper and its heat absorbing surfaces OC, OC' are blackened or made to selective absorbing films. The heat transport pipe 4 encircled by the heat absorbing plate 2 and heat-insulating plate 3 is a transport path for heat through which air or water being a heat medium passes. The upper part has a transparent protecting plate 5. The oblique parabolas AB, A'B' symmetrical to the y-axis and the arcs AC, A'C' centering at the point O are created and are so placed that the x-axis becomes horizontal to the east and west directions. Such constitution enables the heat collection of good efficiency to be performed over the angles of inclination of ±41° without the need for moving the device even if the position of the sun moves.
