Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive reduction of centrifugal stress of a dual flow turbine by providing a branch passage which is branched from a steam flow passage and led through the inside of a rotor to a nozzle at the final stage in the latter stage part of the turbine.
CONSTITUTION: Steam which has been flowed into a turbine, which is accelerated by a nozzle in a partition plate 4, and converted to be rotational force with use of a mover blade 2. In other to have the final stage as dual flows so as to obtain high velocity rotation and high efficiency preventing the final stage from being maximum, steam at the inlet port in the final stage is divided into two, one is led to a final stage (a), and the other is led through a steam passage 5 to a final stage b. In this case, a proper inductor is arranged at the inlet port in the stem passage, and a blower is arranged at the outlet port. This facilitates to maximize the height of the mover blade at the final stage because a condensate turbine, etc. are big volumetric flow, and to reduce centrifugal stress in the turbine.
